A gift from her father. He chose it because it was compact and easy to carry around. He was always worried that she may need to have something with her she could use to protect herself with in case someone groped her (his idea of protection from groping is whacking the person with a stick-). Her father taught her the basics in using a staff but she mainly uses it like a mage to cast spells unless something gets too close and would require her to whack it away.

Personality:

Bright and cheerful with a positive look on things. She tries to be the kind of person the other person would feel comfortable being themselves around. She shows a genuine interest in something the people she's interacting with likes. She is very open to different people, accepting most things as they are. 

Dislikes conflicts, so she tries to avoid or prevent them as much as possible. She would go out of her way to make others cheer up, feel better/accepted or to resolve/break up conflict. If she sees her friends butting heads with each other or having problems with each other, she would try to get them to resolve the problem or at least to stop fighting for the moment. She really dislikes conflicts between people who could be better off cooperating instead. Doesn't like excessive violence but believes it is necessary in right situations.

She has a certain self-assuredness that makes her appear confident. She is unfazed by almost anything and would take everything that comes with a positive and accepting attitude. She smiles and laughs a lot, partly in hopes that it will rub off on others and make them do the same.

She is very responsible, making sure that she sees everything entrusted to her to the end. Trying to appear reliable so that people will go to her for help and depend on her instead of bottling everything up and suffering alone. She believes that having someone to talk to or rant or complain to will help them feel better, even if just a little bit. Also she would try to help if possible, though she may not know the right things to say or the best things to do in those situations.

May be stubborn and even impulsive some times. She might insist on saving/healing someone even if they don't want to be saved. She belives that things can only be solved when one is alive and that they can decide again after she is done healing them when they have calmed down. Even if she needs to physically restrain them somehow. 

Tries to make sure time is well spent with loved ones and to treasure every moment with them. Also tries to get people to do it too when she notices them having a bad relationship with their family/friends. May be overprotective of friends and loved ones as she doesn't want to experience the feeling when she lost her dad a second time. 

Strengths:

-Determined, will not give up when she is set to do something

-Mental fortitude, has a strong will to up hold what she believes in and unshakable resolve

-Honesty (Is capable of telling lies, just prefers telling the truth and she believes lies makes things unneccessarily complicated in the long run. Also would tell white lies if she thinks its better for the other person)

-Hard working (Though there are some things hard work just can't help like her terribleness at any language that isn't Japanese)

-Healing (Is trained in first aid)

-Dealing with insects (Isn't scared or grossed out by them at all, usually picks it up and releases it outside with something)

Weaknesses:

-Slow in water and mild fear of being underwater (Is alright with baths because who has a 2 metre deep bathtub anyways )

-Gets completely knocked out once she runs out of energy
-Finds it difficult to ask for help, and tries to do everything herself 

-Hasty

-Never gives up (She just doesn't know when to quit- Persistent as a sticky glob that never comes off. Or tape that's been stuck onto something for too long)

-Coffee (She gets a headache if she drinks even just a little bit, and it worsens the more she drinks. Just the smell is alright though.)

History: 

Chiyo was from a rather average but loving family. When she was born, her mother left work to devote her time to taking care of her. Her father was only free at night and in the weekends when he is off work, but he always tried his best to make time to be with his family. She was the only child but never felt lonely because her mother was always there. Her mother was a doctor and would teach Chiyo general things about her trade from time to time. This was where Chiyo got her interest and knowledge in the healing arts. While her father taught her basic techniques of Bojutsu (staff technique) which he practiced when he was younger. He was worried about Chiyo getting stalked or robbed because she inherited her mother's... nice body.

Gradually, her father grew more distant and thanks to her mother’s past experience and the news, they realized before it was too late that it was RMD (Reverse Morphosis Disorder). Mustering the last strands of love and care for his family, he told them not to stay attached to his shell but to keep him (from before he loses all memories and consciousness) in their memories and move on with life.

Although devastated, they did their best to stay positive and eventually, her mother got remarried; partly to help support the family.

Trivia:

-Her cellphone evoker has a cover designed like a book. She feels that as a healer, holding something like a book fits the role better

-She always carries her staff around since it's easy to carry because of the compact size and her father never stopped reminding her to take it with her. It can be extended into a full length staff. When folded, it is about 9.4 inches (24cm) and about 47 inches (120cm) when extended.
The staff is something used for fishing but her dad knew nothing about fishing and only googled for something retractable and also able to use as a staff then bought it off a fishing website. (Click here for an idea about how the weapon looks/works.- Working on ref of the weapon extended/ not in the pouch.) She has different pouches to store the staff.

-Rainbows are a symbol of hope/represents hope

-Not musically inclined (In the sense that she can't come up with musically pleasing sounds on her own. She is also unable to play musical pieces with feeling, resulting in accurate but boring sounds.)

-Kind of immune to flirting and is emotionally retarded. She would respond politely (also somewhat dismissively) if hit on/flirted with. Doesn't seem to fall in love (romantically) easily and has little interest in having a lover. Has never had any crushes. Ever. 

-Her family name was Amatsuka (天使) before her mother remarried

-Her mom is really pretty and sexy.    just saying- //whistles

Chiyo listened attentively as each student in the class took turns introducing themselves, taking special care to remember their names and faces, as well as whatever other information they provided for those that did. "There are many interesting people in this class," she thought with a soft smile to heself. She stood up promply as her name was called, standing straight as she quickly smoothened her uniform in one motion. "My name is Mori Chiyo, it is a great pleasure to meet everyone. I hope that we can get along and have fun together!" She said with a bright smile and bowed.

(I took forever with the drawing and I just had to pick the persona with only refs like : [Link] and [Link] But I had fun coming up with her design by combining those two even though she's like mostly just a nekkid pink spirit thing in my version- Also took unnecessarily long trying to get formatting to work in the artist comments because every time I update this, dA messes it up and adds random new codes in it idek why //weeps/ but I managed to make it work in the end and I'm having finals and it's almost the end of enrolments I'm a piece of slow trash orz)
