BJBB: Elytte [Spades]

Personality: 

She is usually calm, rather straight-laced and reserved. She would calmly access any situation she is put into, often with either a serious (almost disinterested expression) or with a look of curiosity, interested and excited to find out more. She does things that are deemed 'correct' and 'lawful' like a proper law abiding citizen most of the time, casually ignoring things that are inconveniences to her. She tends to speak in a rather formal way, sometimes she would even speak in a traditional and old-fashioned way.

However, she is very open to trying out new things and meeting new people. She is easily excitable and gets intrigued by things very easily. Looking at things with an almost childlike curiosity, she sometimes drifts off to her own imagination when looking at something. She tends to get too serious in doing things and has too much fun while doing so, even when she is rather awkward and bad at those activities. She is fascinated by samurais and knights and has developed her own strange idea of justice.

She doesn't particularly love or hate humans; when she is tasked to kill someone, she would do so without hesitation. She feels no remorse or anything much when taking out a target, but is against killing random innocent people who has nothing to do with her mission. When someone she cares about is hurt, she snaps and this is where her ripper side surfaces. She feels no joy or pleasure from torturing people but does it to inflict the worse possible pain on them when she gets really, really mad; often with an overly neutral expression. Generally, she is a good-natured and nice girl that has tendencies to think in strange ways.


History: 

- Summary -
Elytte's parents are both Japanese, they gave birth to her in Pearson City. The care-free and rather quirky couple opened up a café after they settled down and gave birth to Elytte soon after. She grew up with lots of anime and manga which was where her love for knights and samurai came from. Because of that, she took many martial arts lessons, mostly sword related ones such as kendo and became proficient quickly with her constant practice. She would also help out at the café occasionally.

Things happened and Elytte saved a Rabbit boy from his human owner that sent people to kill him. Because the Rabbit boy was sheltered in Elytte's home, the family was also attacked by the ruthless thugs. Elytte's mother survived and reopened another café while Elytte and the Rabbit boy were saved by a Rabbit man. During that time, partly thanks to turning into a bunny, Elytte survived as well. The Rabbit boy left with the man after he introduced Elytte who joined BJBB.

She might have joined to one day avenge her father and hurting her family but whatever it was, she felt that joining was the right thing to do. It looked fun and was a new thing to try out so without much other thoughts, her life at BJBB begun.

Her mother migrated from Japan to Pearson City before she was born to finally live with her father who was already in Pearson because of his family. Together, they opened a café in Pearson City. Her parents are care-free, fun-loving, open-minded and rather quirky people. She grew up with lots of anime and manga which her parents liked. This was where her love for samurai and knights came from. From then on, she went for many martial arts lessons. Most of them were sword related but she also took a few close combat lessons to further train her physical fitness. She dabbled in a few of the other types of martial arts but furthered her lessons in Iaido, Kendo and Karate. Her parents started her off with Karate at the age of 4 to let her grow up strong since her mother also started off at an early age and felt that it was useful to her. Even at that young age, Elytte was already interested in fighting for the good, influenced by children's stories like Momotaro and the like. But once she got older, she decided she like it and never stopped her lessons and training. She then took on swords lessons while trying out some other types of martial arts when they had a sort of open practice day to let people see if they were interested to join or not. Since then, Elytte has practiced Karate for 14 years, 12 for Kendo and Iaido. She also helps out in the café doing all sorts of things. She serves the customers, cooks, cleans, and even makes deliveries. 

One day, on her way back to the café from her kendo practice, she found a group of children bullying a small wounded boy. With her wooden sword in hand, she managed to chase them away. She brought the boy back to her café and her parents decided to take care of him after hearing his story. _{He is a Rabbit, born to a wealthy man and his Rabbit maid. The father cares not for the Rabbit people and treats the Rabbit child just like any other slave. His other human children, along with their friends, constantly bully and abuse the Rabbit boy. His mother would comfort him but had to ask him to please endure it as they have nowhere else to go. But that day, his mother died and he finally ran away. Unfortunately, he was spotted by his sibling’s friends and that was where Elytte found him.} 

The human siblings told their father that his slave ran away, fuming mad over the lost of his property; more so that he had the guts to run away and the kids also spun some tales to put the rabbit boy in even worse light like such as how he stole their toys and broke the owner's expensive vase (which in fact was broken by them when they were playing). He sent some thugs after them. They attacked at night by setting the café (they live upstairs of the café) on fire which caused the stove (with the oil and everything) to explode and fleeing the scene. Thanks to the enhanced hearing of the Rabbit, the family was warned and made it out of the house alive. However, two of the thugs stayed behind to make sure that the family did not escape. They shot at them before quickly riding off on a motorcycle. Elytte's mother tripped and fell which caused the bullet to miss her vitals but she fell unconscious. Her father however, died soon after. Not long after, the two children were picked up by a man, and brought away. The mother was spotted by their neighbor who just came back home(from partying or something). When the mother woke up, she was told that she was found lying on the road with her dead husband, with no signs of any children. In hopes of the children being alive and worried that they would have nowhere to go, she opened a new café after she recovered, so that they will be able to find their way back. 

Turns out, the children were saved by a Rabbit man. Thanks to the enhanced recovery of the Rabbits, both children were saved. That’s right. Elytte had begun transformation into a Rabbit. Between the time when she was attacked to when she woke up, she was experimented on to save her life and became a Rabbit. After finding out that her mother was still alive and has opened a new café, she did not return because her mother is still a human and her return may jeopardize her mother’s safety. The Rabbit man turns out to be the brother of the Rabbit boy's mother and they had kept in contact from time to time. He learnt about her death and went to look for the Rabbit boy after finding out that someone matching his description was living in another human place. He had an acquaintance in BJBB check up on their family before he found them and after the incident, the acquaintance took interest in Elytte since she had a pretty long history in martial arts and she seemed proficient in it. The Rabbit boy went with the Rabbit man who was willing to take them in while Elytte joined BJBB. 

Maybe deep down, she joined the brigade in hopes of avenging her parents too. (Just her father actually. But for hurting her mother too.) However, generally with her strange ideas of justice or just her overall strange way of thinking, she decided that joining BJBB was the right thing to do. Plus, it was a new thing to try out and it looked fun.

Having gotten used to the lifestyle in BJBB she generally enjoys what she is doing and her outlook on life hasn’t changed much, even after getting imprisoned, having the city fall under crazy POSRA rule and the following peace treaty. She remains a very constant, consistent and calm bunny.



Miscellaneous:
-She is rather forgetful. (Think it stemmed from her transformation or may just be her personality?)
Because she tend to forget things, especially when it is something bad.
-She doesn’t really need to cut things. She just likes to swing her sword. She switched over to using only one katana after the prison incident for mobility. She now carries a knife for fighting in cramped spaces.
-The transformation also somehow affected her scent. She now has a faint smell of something like her café. Sometimes like freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, coffee, and other sweets. Just faintly though, have to go really close to her. And then you can smell a faint trace of it.
-She has a strange need to appear before her victims before she kills them.
-She is at 6th dan for kendo/iaido

She seems to see past things that she doesn’t really like, sometimes completely.
